‘Mighty Ducks’ Actor Shaun Weiss Arrested For Public Intoxication

The Mighty Ducks franchise started with three movies, released in 1992, 1994 and 1996.

Mighty Ducks star Shaun Weiss was arrested over the weekend in Northern California after police found him intoxicated and behaving bizarrely with a flashlight, as reported by PEOPLE. The former actor shed the baby fat his characters carried and now looks frail and scruffy - totally different from how we remember him.

Weiss, now 39 years old, started his acting career when he was just a child and was featured in shows such as "Pee-wee's Playhouse".

Shaun was in the widely popular Pizza Hut commercial that was shown at the beginning of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movies on VHS. His last advertisement he starred in was in 2009 for Verizon.

Cops let him sleep it off for a few hours in the tank before cutting him loose without formally citing him, which is standard procedure on most public intoxication arrests in California. The reason for the arrest was public intoxication, according to the Oroville Police Department. However, this was not his first offense. OPD shared Weiss' mugshot in a Facebook post confirming the arrest, and it is shocking.

According to TMZ, his jail sentence was reduced to 12 days because of prison overcrowding.

The actor was held behind bars until he "sobered up" and was released without charges. Police say he was doing things like "shining a light in his own face" and they suspected he may have been high.
