Warframe Coming to Nintendo Switch

Previously available on Windows, PlayStation 4, and Xbox One, the game is now being ported to Nintendo's Switch handheld console - and Digital Extremes has picked Panic Button to handle the port, following the success of the company's ports of Rocket League, Doom, and Wolfenstein 2: The New Colossus to the platform.

That range would represent a big increase from the Switch's current baseline of about 10 games released per week, on average, over the past year (a number that includes indie titles as well as games from major publishers).

Nintendo Switch is set to get one of the most popular free-to-play games, Warframe. The game is a free-to-play, co-op experience, where players can explore huge, open worlds.

Digital Extremes didn't give us a date or any other release details. Today, developer and publisher Defiant Development announced that the dungeon crawling/card hybrid game will be coming to the Nintendo Switch in just a few days. That means we could see as many as 1,500 indie titles release on the console in a single year! The plot is centered around members of the Tenno, a race of ancient warriors who were kept in a deep cryogenic slumber for centuries.

The game is now available on PC, PS4 and Xbox One and features hundreds of of weapons and over 35 Warframes, and thousands of customisation options.

Digital Extremes has continually made changes to the game to help improve the game play for its dedicated fan base, and will surely continue to do so with the newest version of the game.
