Fortnite's Playground mode will be taking another break next week

Epic is also promising Playground mode will eventually be transformed into a full, permanent Creative mode.

Fortnite Playground essentially acts as a training mode, with the LTM letting players practice building and shooting skills away from the battlefield.

In a post on the Fortnite Battle Royale Reddit, Epic Games community co-ordinator JustMooney1 revealed Fortnite Playground will be turned off next Thursday.

Although there's no fixed date for when Playgrounds will return, Epic has detailed a bunch of changes for the next version.

Fortnite's Playground Limited Time Mode, despite its rough start, has been met with insurmountable success and player adoration. Epic has alluded to this possibility before when it expressed interest in making Playground a permanent part of the game, as opposed to the Limited-Time Mode that it is right now. You can spend all that time then safely practicing with the weapons, getting a feel for the map, figuring out Fortnite's tricky construction mechanics, or just goofing off. Playground mode has sparked a creativity in players that recalls Fortnite's Minecraft roots.

"So much fun to scrim and build battle them". It allows players to explore the map and play around with up to three friends, free from the risk of being eliminated by other people.

Don't worry though - Epic Games know they have a hit on their hands.

But it looks like Playground is here to stay permanently, which will make a lot of fans very pleased considering it's incredible popularity.
