'Ant-Man and the Wasp' is a great palate cleanser

Comic Book Movie reports that the mid-credits scene for Ant-Man and the Wasp, which premieres tonight, has leaked online.

Spoilers ahead for Ant-Man and the Wasp and minor spoilers for Avengers 4. They were handed boards with Google's most pressing questions around the movie, its storyline and characters, and information about the actors themselves.

While a year ago saw rumours of Hawkeye appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp, but director Peyton Reed branded this as fake news.

The mid-credits scene is the one that has the most significance to the future of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, because it shows Scott Lang fiddling about inside the Quantum Realm, which the film tells us is a very risky place. So that's where we leave Scott: Stuck in the quantum realm, holding a big handful of "healing particles", and not sure what to do or even with a method of escape.

A mic check confirms they can hear him, even down there, and Scott successfully unleashes the particle.

"Seriously, don't joke around, bring me up!" yells Scott, still in the quantum realm.

Then there's the fact that time and space work completely differently down there - Hank, in the first Ant-Man, says those concepts are "irrelevant" as far as the quantum realm is concerned. Let us know what your theories are about the ending and the post credit sequences in the COMMENTS section below. That matters because just seconds after Scott successfully makes the jump, he suddenly finds himself out of communication with the team back in the normal sized universe operating the device's control panel.

This would explain Tony Stark's grey hair in Avengers 4 set photos, casting rumours of an older Cassie and presumably time travel will be used to fight Thanos going forward. The TV is showing only the "Emergency Broadcast System" signal - probably as a result of the mayhem caused by Thanos.

As you might have already guessed, in the interim, Thanos' snap happens and the entire Van Dyne lineage doesn't feel so good.

What it means: Marvel is still pretending that the Thanos deaths are permanent and not something that will definitely get a tidy reversal in time for everyone to return for their regularly scheduled sequels.
