Ghost of Tsushima gameplay looks incredible in action

Many of these are villains that this version of Spider-Man had put in prison during the eight years he's been active, further emphasizing that this is a highly experienced web-slinger.

That's what Ghost of Tsushima captures, in the very best way, based on an in-depth trailer shown at Sony's PlayStation press conference at E3. The trailer also features its own self-contained twist, so look forward to that as you watch.

In 1274, the fearsome Mongol Empire invades the Japanese island of Tsushima and slaughters its legendary samurai defenders.

Developed by the Infamous series makers Sucker Punch, Ghost of Tsushima takes players back to the war-torn era of feudal Japan, unsheathing their katana to take on an army of cruel enemies.

The total number of named villains to appear in the trailer is five.

Sony revealed more of Insomniac's Spider-Man game during its Electronic Entertainment Expo event today in Los Angeles.

Everyone had hoped we'd see a new From Software game going into the show, and we sort of got our wish. As seen in this video, Spider-Man is working with Yuriko Watanabe, an NYPD captain who became the Wraith in the Marvel Universe. Unfortunately, as great as it is to be able to announce a big game two or three years in advance, especially when it's coming from an industry luminary like Hideo Kojima, that game is then hanging around for what seems like forever, dragged out every year for a little update.

The Sony conference at E3 was the first time any gameplay footage was revealed from the PS4 exclusive.

- A new game called "Control" looks like it gives you super powers - and it's made by the same studio behind "Max Payne" and "Quantum Break", so expect lots of beautiful-looking, heart-pounding action.

"Keeping it a secret for so long has been painful".
