Alli plans to keep a cool head in Russian Federation

My first World Cup memory is walking back home from my friend's house when I was really young.

Tony Adams has admitted in a recent interview that he is anxious about the English squad's reliance on Tottenham players given the lack of trophies they have won in recent years.

England midfielder Dele Alli has the "swagger" of a Brazilian, according to Roberto Carlos.

While cautiously optimistic about England's World Cup hopes, ESPN's Ian Darke breaks down what to expect from the Three Lions in Russian Federation.

But Adams is concerned their lack of club success under Mauricio Pochettino will translate to the global stage. "I want to play with passion, I want to play with hunger in every game".

Arsenal legend Tony Adams, however, spoke to The Sun in a recent interview and admitted that the presence of so many key players from Tottenham Hotspur may well have a more negative effect on the squad's psyche when it comes down to the wire.

Spurs haven't won a league title since 1961, a drought strikingly close to England's last World Cup title in 1966 streak, and perhaps Adams went with a lazy-minded heuristic here, at least in part, to generate this attention-seeking bit of punditry.

Never mind the fact that most people don't expect England to win the tournament anyway.

"England are one of the favourites after Brazil".

'I saw him at the Real Madrid against Spurs game and he was impressive. He later added some cogent points.

"Teams who win World Cups usually have a real anchor, such as Sergio Ramos or Fabio Cannavaro". "As players, everyone who gets picked for England is used to playing regularly and obviously I was disappointed not to play, but it's down to me to make sure that if the boss has a decision to make, I put myself in the best possible position to be picked".
