Nokia X6 with 5.8-inch display, dual rear cameras launched

HMD Global has added a 5.8-inch screen with FHD+ resolution, 432ppi pixel density and 19:9 aspect ratio. The company had earlier shared teasers of the upcoming smartphone, which comes in 4GB and 6GB RAM variants, though there are three RAM/storage combinations.

The high-end Nokia X6 will make its debut in the mobile phone market. The new Nokia handset is the company's first in the new "X" series and also their first to feature a "notch". The phone is said to run on an octa-core SoC clocked at 1.8GHz, speculated to either be the Snapdragon 636 or MediaTek Helio P60 SoC, coupled with 3GB/ 4GB/ 6GB of RAM. The onboard storage will be expandable via microSD card. It includes WiFi 802.11 a/b/g/n/ac for connectivity, Bluetooth 5.0, GPS/AGPS+GLONASS+Beidou as well for connectivity. It comes with a 3060 mAH battery with Quick Charge 3.0 support underneath, which can be charged from 0 - 50 % in just 30 mins. A recent leak has claimed that the Nokia X6 name is final now. The front houses as a 16MP camera with an f/2.0 aperture.

The primary camera comprises of a dual camera setup with a 16 MP + 5 MP units with Electronic Image Stabilization (EIS) along with HDR and a bokeh mode. The company is relying on a RGB and monochrome sensor combination with 16MP being the coloured one, while the 5MP is the black and white sensor. Sensors on board the Nokia X6 are: Ambient Light, Proximity, Acceleration, Fingerprint Identification, Electronic Compass and Gyro.

The Nokia powered flagship will sport dual 16-megapixel sensors in its vertical dual rear camera setup, while front camera sensors have still remained a mystery. the smartphone is expected to cost CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 15,900) for its 4GB RAM, 64GB storage variant. The 6GB RAM and 64GB storage version will cost Yuan 1699 which is almost Rs 18,100. The launch event will be streamed live on JD.com, Suning.com, and Tmall.com.
