Metro Exodus delayed, won't see light of day until Q1 2019

A new environment from the game will be shown at E3 next month though and THQ Nordic are insisting that the delay is purely to ensure the game is so they can "deliver a product that gamers and fans of the Metro series want and deserve".

Deep Silver sent out word that the highly anticipated first-person shooter has been pushed back out of its late 2018 release for PC, PS4 and Xbox One, and is now scheduled to release next year in 2019.

The game's publisher, Deep Silver, has released a statement, describing the reasoning behind the delay.

The report states that THQ Nordic is "looking forward to Deep Silver's next key release, Metro Exodus, now expected in Q1 2019".

The decision was apparently taken because "we want everyone to be able to experience what is the most ambitious Metro game to date at its absolute best", which reassures us as to 4A Games' commitment to quality.

Players who are eager to jump into the world of Metro will have to wait a little bit longer to try out 4A Games' third entry in the series, Metro Exodus. There is more information to be found in the full interview, which you can check out above, but as it stands, players should be excited to know that Exodus is planning to be a huge game.

Exodus was going to release in the fall of 2018.

This time around players can look forward to a more expansive game world, with Deep Silver championing Exodus as a 'sandbox survival experience.' Sounds like a victor to us.
