Kurt Cobain's daughter loses dad's famed guitar in divorce

The Blast reports that images from four rolls of film taken at the scene of the Nirvana frontman's death in 1994 will nearly certainly not be seen by the public. That alone would make it worth millions of dollars but it's also said to be only one of 300 made.

Frances Bean's ex husband has been allowed to keep Kurt Cobain's MTV Unplugged guitar.

The TMZ report further claims that Frances "wants to move on" from the divorce, even if that means giving up the guitar and everything attached to it.

Journalist Richard Lee, who is a long-term believer that Cobain was murdered, sought the pictures under the Washington State's Public Records Act.

While some photos developed from the film rolls of Cobain's death were released in 2014, none depicted his body, and the most recent court ruling in favour of the singer's family should ensure that it stays that way.

Isaiah insisted Frances gave him the guitar as a gift and so it is his to keep, while the daughter of Kurt and Hole songstress Courtney Love was emphatic that she would never have given him a "priceless family heirloom". She added that releasing the images would be "highly offensive to a reasonable person".

Last November Frances filed the official documents to split from the 32-year-old, and reportedly listed her father's estate as her own property separate from any joint ownership she and Isaiah have together. "I think the main reason people embrace the conspiracy theory is simply that it's very painful to imagine that Kurt, someone they loved or maybe identified with, that he betrayed them in some degree by taking his own life", he said.

Love and Cobain have testified in this case previously with Love saying Cobain's death "was the most traumatic experience of my life".
