Kim Kardashian Deletes Sultry Post Promoting Appetite-Suppressant Product

Fans and other celebrities alike immediately pounced on the post, most claiming it was an unhealthy way to lose weight and promoting unrealistic ideas about healthy eating.

Kardashian West's post said, "They're Appetite Suppressant Lollipops and they're literally unreal".

Detox teas and appetite-suppressing treats often exist in a regulatory grey area.

On the company's website, the lollipop is described to have the ingredient satiereal, which they claim is a "clinically proven safe active ingredient extracted from natural plants". And to play with your kids.

The Good Place star Jameela Jamil, who hasn't been shy about taking the Kardashian family to task over their questionable product placements, put the social media maven on blast for her "toxic influence" on young girls. "And to have something to say about your life at the end, other than 'I had a flat stomach.'" The tweet was accompanied by a GIF of Mr. Bean holding up the middle finger.

To state the obvious: Kim Kardashian is not new to the Instagram promotion game.

The founder of I Weigh, a social media campaign geared towards supplanting society's focus on their physical appearance by recognizing their achievements as human beings, further notes how "this family makes me feel actual despair over what women are reduced to". No one should have to feel the need to suppress their appetite to fit to ridiculous beauty standards. "Please start to do some good with the platform you have..." Fan happinessnwrathe wrote: "Are you sick?"

"You are an absolute disgrace". "Most of your fan base are teenagers/young adults that look up to you, and you're basically telling them it's OK to not want to eat".

The post has garnered criticism from disappointed fans who have slammed the mother-of-three for the "deeply irresponsible" move.

"This is incredibly damaging and risky", and "Can't believe Kim Kardashian is that rich but still feels the need to promote appetite suppressing lollipops of all things?" "Jesus Christ they're moeny hungry.no respect", a Twitter user wrote in response to the actress.

What spawned from her frustrations, though, is something much more positive.
