He said the government was working with a different approach for 115 backward districts, which were categorised as "aspirational districts" and "ambitious districts". He also inaugurated a new rail line and a passenger train between Gudum and Bhanupratapur, bringing north Bastar region on railways map.

PM Modi's UK visit will have a particular focus on the India-UK technological partnership and the central feature of this will be his second meeting with Theresa May on Wednesday at the Francis Crick Institute in London, where a new India-UK Technical Alliance is expected to be among a series of announcements. Other UK-India agreements are set to be reached, including the setting up of an Ayurveda research centre in the UK, though it remains to be seen whether any move will be made to respond to Indian concerns around Britain's immigration regime, which India has repeatedly stressed is key to a future relationship.
