Damian Lillard doubtful to play against Rockets Thursday night

Portland Trail Blazers guard Damian Lillard is day-to-day with a left ankle injury and is expected to miss Thursday night's game against the Houston Rockets, according to a Yahoo Sports report. Davis sprained his right ankle last Friday vs. the Clippers.

The Rockets will be without shooting guard Eric Gordon (foot) and forward Ryan Anderson (sprained left ankle).

After losing two games in a row, the Blazers, now third in the West with a 48-31 and three games left in the season, lead the Utah Jazz by two games and the San Antonio Spurs by three games for the number three seed in the West.

After facing the Rockets Thursday, Portland will travel to San Antonio to take on the Spurs (45-34) Saturday before wrapping up the road trip Monday in Denver against the Nuggets (43-35). And now they have Damian Lillard to worry about as well.

As always, the Spurs must do this without Kawhi Leonard. "It's the end of the season".

As of late, things have been a bit rough for the Spurs. And while they are two games ahead of Utah, it's good to be healthy with the playoffs looming.

The Blazers have also lost two straight and should have secured home-court a couple of games ago. Getting a win at the Spurs and then resting those two games would be very beneficial for this Blazers squad.
