5 ways Google is changing Gmail

"One of the great things about being able to search in a tap experience, is that it makes the experience quicker and with the voice search also it is quick and easy". With the next update, users will soon be greeted with Google Calendar directly on their Gmail web. Another report by TechCrunch has also discovered that the new Gmail is likely to have a feature that a lot of users might find very useful.

Meanwhile, in February this year, Google introduced a new app, Gmail Go.

Instead, Gmail sends the recipient a dummy email with a hyperlink to the actual self-expiring message, which is what actually disappears when time expires.

Get ready for a few changes to the screen millions of people wake up to: Google is contemplating a new design and new features for Gmail.

Google is preparing to give Gmail a makeover, but the revamp may include more than just new layouts.

However, the most exciting feature of all might be a new "Confidential Mode" revealed by reports on Friday. This icon will not only allow you to set an expiration date of a sent email but there's also a "Require Passcode" option that you can select if you want the recipient to confirm their identity with a passcode sent via SMS.

'We're working on some major updates to Gmail (they're still in draft phase)', a Google spokesperson told MailOnline.

Google researchers unveiled a deep learning audio-visual model for isolating a single speech signal from a mix of sounds, including other voices and background noise. In 2017, Gmail had 1.2 billion active worldwide users. Also on the cards, is a new way of storing emails on your PC which means offline access to all your emails on the web without even using an external mail client on the desktop. Google has meanwhile kept mum about the new features, requesting for a bit more time to compose themselves before they share anything. It's not clear how that data counts people who have personal Gmail accounts and work Gmail accounts monitored by G Suite administrators, but the notice sent out by Google says that these changes will be coming to personal email accounts as well.
