Porn star offers to repay $130000 in dispute over alleged Trump affair

While Daniels' lawyer has said Trump knew about the payment and had a sexual relationship with the actress (which the actress herself previously denied), Daniels has not explicitly spoken out about the alleged affair outside of the lawsuit filings.

Daniels is also now hoping that returning the money could allow her to end her silence.

Clifford's attorney, Michael Avenatti, sent Cohen a letter offering to wire $130,000 by Friday to an account designated by the President.

The alleged affair has become the latest distraction for Trump as he tries to advance his trade agenda and prepares for a proposed meeting with North Korean leader Kim Jong-un. BuzzFeed had reported that Trump's lawyers were considering seeking an injunction to stop it.

The source said Trump is being told by advisers not to fight Daniels' decision to break a confidentiality agreement because it would make him look guilty. The group claims it is an illegal campaign contribution because of the size and goal of the payment.

Adult film star Stormy Daniels has canceled her trip to Detroit due to an illness, her manager said. Michael Avenatti, lawyer for the actress, whose real name is Stephanie Clifford, last week tweeted a picture of himself, Clifford and CBS interviewer Anderson Cooper.

Both President Trump and the White House continue to deny that there was ever a relationship or connection between Daniels and the president.

The lawsuit claimed the "hush agreement" that was signed days before the 2016 presidential election is legally invalid because it was only signed by Clifford and Cohen and not by Trump.

Once a new agreement is signed, the letter said, Clifford would also be able to use and publish any text messages, photos and videos relating to Trump that she might possess.

And it would require the agreement be signed by all parties, including the president, who did not put his name to the previous nondisclosure deal. The statement is an admission that the nondisclosure agreement exists and that it directly involves Trump. Avenatti told CNN over the weekend that at least 10 people had offered to pay the penalty if she would discuss the alleged affair.
