Lenovo S5 teased ahead of its official launch on March 20

Xiaomi has increased the price of its entry-level yet disruptive smartphone, the Redmi 5A in the Indian market to Rs 5,999 as it promised at the launch event.

Some time ago one of top managers of Lenovo, namely the Vice-President Chang Cheng, confirmed that on March 20 in China will be the announcement of the smartphone Lenovo S5.

The 43-inch Mi TV 4C priced at Rs 27,999 is expected to boost a FullHD display panel, 3GB of RAM and 32GB of internal storage specs. This is because Xiaomi has always been known to provide better, affordable products and this could mark the beginning of Xiaomi's launch-spree in the TV market as well. The phone is available in Dark Grey, Rose Gold, and Gold colour variants. These variants are priced at RMB 799 (or approx Rs 8196), RMB 899 (or approx Rs 9221) and RMB 1099 (or approx Rs 11,273), respectively.

Amazon India is also teasing the smartphone with the number 5, which further suggests that this could be the Redmi 5.

The device comes with a 5.7-inch screen with an HD+ resolution. Similar to the Redmi Note 5, the new device has an aspect ratio of 18:9. The smartphone manufacturer this time has chose to go with a powerful Qualcomm chipset, rather than the MediaTek processors the company used to be. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 425 SoC, coupled with 2GB/ 3GB of RAM and 16GB/ 32GB of inbuilt storage.

From the teaser messages on social media and the phone being described as a "Compact Powerhouse" by Xiaomi, one is expecting that the phone to be released on March 14 will be the Redmi 5 and it may sport a powerful battery.

If we talk more about the previous leaks, the design matches to the Lenovo K520 smartphone which was spotted on a Chinese Regulatory Site, TENNA. To work the Redmi Note will be on MIUI 5 over Android 9 7, but the OS will most likely be updated to Android 8 in the near future.
